Mike McMillian was born and raised in Michigan, and is a graduate of Michigan State University. He has been married to his wife, Lauren, for over 30 years, and they have four children: Kyle, Cody, Maddie, and Niall. Mike recently retired from PepsiCo, where he worked for 31 years. He is the Chair of the Governance Committee at Fred’s Super Dollar store, where he has served on the board for 10 years. He was the founder of and a coach for the Houston High School Lacrosse program, and is currently a 7th grade mentor in the Grizzlies Foundation Charter School Program. Mike is committed to bringing diverse experiences to the Concord Academy Board with an emphasis on post-secondary skill development.
Alan R. Haguewood
Alan Haguewood, Chief Counsel of Securities and Executive Compensation at International Paper, joined the Concord Board of Trustees in the Fall of 2017. Alan holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a law degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a Memphis native and has three children, one whom is a Concord student. In addition to spending time with his kids, he enjoys bicycling and running marathons.
Pamela McKenzie, PHD
Pamela McKenzie, Director, St. Jude CEIRS Global Surveillance for St. Jude Center of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, joined the Concord Board of Trustees in the Fall of 2015. Pam holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Memphis State University and a Masters and Doctorate degree in Physiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has been married for 30 years to John and has three children, one whom is a Concord graduate.
Pamela McKenzie, PHD
Donna Macri has been a senior finance professional for over 16 years and is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Whitmor, Inc. She graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisville. She was named Memphis Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Finalist in 2011 and has been the Treasurer for the Financial Executives International Memphis Chapter since 2013. Donna enjoys traveling, water activities, and riding her motorcycle, which admittedly pales in comparison to spending time with her family; husband Rob, their 4 children, and granddaughter.
Ms. Lattimore is a Senior Manager at The Marston Group, PLC. She has taught numerous tax seminars for continuing professional education and accounting principles seminars for entrepreneurs. Ms. Lattimore’s areas of concentration include tax planning, tax return preparation, business consulting, retirement planning, and estate planning.
Ms. Lattimore received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside. Her professional affiliations include Estate Planning Council of Memphis, Financial Planning Association, and Society of Financial Service Professionals, where she has served as both President and Board Member. She is currently President of the Board for Voices of the South and is both Vice-Chairman and Secretary of the Concord Board of Trustees.
Arris Murphy is a benefits attorney with FedEx Corporation, and a contributing editor for The 401(k) Handbook, (published by Thompson Information Services). She holds a B.S. in Education from VA Tech in Blacksburg, VA, and a law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE. Mrs. Murphy has volunteered locally with Literacy Mid-South and the CONNECT Mentoring program. She, husband Tony, and son Forrest moved to Memphis in 2011. Mrs. Murphy joined the Concord Board of Trustees in December, 2013.
Mr. Ryan is currently a Partner with Gerber/Taylor Management where he advises clients on asset allocation strategies, with a particular focus on the areas of private equity and private real estate. Prior to joining Gerber/Taylor in 2002, Mr. Ryan worked for Morgan Keegan as an investment banker specializing in the private placements of equity and debt securities. He began his investment career with International Paper in Memphis.
He received a BA in economics from the University of Michigan, attending college on an NROTC scholarship, and an MBA in finance from Northwestern University. After college Mr. Ryan served in the US Navy as a SEAL team officer, deploying around the globe as a member of SEAL Team Five.
Mr. Ryan and his wife, Amy, have three children and reside in Germantown. In addition to his service to Concord Academy, he also serves on the board of the Germantown Baseball League, a youth program providing recreational baseball to over 800 children in the neighboring communities. Mr. Ryan also serves on the advisory council of Incarnation Catholic School in Collierville.
Chuck Herzog joined the Concord Board of Directors in July 2010 and served as its Chairman until May 2013. He continues as a member of the Board. Mr. Herzog co-founded Atadex in 2012 and currently serves as its COO. Prior to his work at Atadex, Mr. Herzog held a variety of management positions with Union Pacific Railroad, Sherwin-Williams and American President Lines. He gained his executive management experience while serving as President of Hub Group Tennessee before co-founding Integra Logistics in 2002. Mr. Herzog earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business at Michigan State University. He is married and has three daughters, one of whom is a Concord Graduate.
Joyce A. Teague is the retired Executive Director of Concord Academy. Joyce was blessed with the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs and their families at Concord for 29 years. She served as a teacher from 1983 – 1987 and became Executive Director in 1987, where she remained in that capacity until she retired in July, 2012.
Prior to joining Concord Academy, Mrs. Teague taught science, health and special education in North Carolina, Alabama, as well as with the Memphis City Schools in Tennessee.
Mrs. Teague’s honors include “Who's Who in Tennessee," (1991), and "50 Women Who Make A Difference," Memphis Woman Magazine, (2005). She received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Memphis, and her M.A. in Special Education from the University of Alabama.
She has served on Concord Board of Trustees since her retirement. She and her husband, Tom have one daughter, Katherine. Mrs. Teague loves being outdoors and working in her garden.
Glen Bowman has been in the logistics industry for more than 24 years. He began his career with FedEx Corporation as a Senior Handler and Team Leader. He has also worked at V. Alexander Company, Inc., Cummins Aftermarket, N. Hunt Moore and Associates, Inc., and Centrepot, Inc. Mr. Bowman was part of the ownership group that purchased CWA in 2007, where he served as Director of Business Development. He currently works for Whitmor, Inc. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Memphis. Mr. Bowman lives in Lakeland, TN with his wife Courtney and two children, one of whom is a student at Concord Academy.
Randy Hutchinson was a banker for 25 years, and is the current president of the Better Business Bureau of the Mid-South. He has held this position since 2002. He is a native of the Washington, D.C. area. He received his BA in Economics from Western Maryland College and his MBA from Wilmington College in Delaware. Mr. Hutchinson’s community affiliations include: Clear Point Credit Counseling Solutions Regional Advisory Committee, Memphis Rotary Club, Leadership Memphis, and Concord Academy Board of Trustees.
