Middle School

Concord’s middle school curriculum focuses on helping students become increasingly independent learners and preparing them to succeed in high school and beyond.
Academics
Middle school students sharpen their knowledge in core subjects, while developing independent learning skills, deepening their reading comprehension and writing skills, and learning new math concepts, in preparation for high school math courses, all under the guidance of our licensed special education teachers.
Executive functioning
Goal setting, planning, organizing, and other executive functioning processes are supported inside and outside the classroom. Students are improving these important skills through daily practice and repetition, and with staff and teacher support.
Social/Emotional Learning
A licensed behavior analyst (LBA) works with our middle school students, helping them develop social/emotional skills and assisting them in character and relationship building, social skills building, and problem solving. Our LBA supports teachers by analyzing behaviors, collecting data, and creating behavior plans when needed.
