Social Emotional Learning

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is an important component of our program. Teachers incorporate SEL goals into their classroom activities, and encourage students’ social-emotional growth, along with their academic growth.
A staff licensed behavior analyst and board-certified counselor assists our students in character and relationship building, social skills building, and problem-solving.
The behavior analyst also works closely with teachers and staff in developing strategies that enable students to grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
When students better understand themselves and others they can work more effectively together to establish a community with shared responsibility and mutual trust.
