Diane Grover received a Bachelor of Science from State University of New York, Buffalo with a dual major in Elementary Education and Learning and Behavioral Disorders. She holds a Master’s of Educational Administration from University of California, Northridge and is a certified Resource Specialist. She began her teaching career in Riverhead, New York as a high school Resource Specialist. She married and moved to Los Angeles, CA. She was employed by UCLA, Fernald School for two years and later employed as a Resource Specialist for Manhattan Beach City School District. Diane moved to Tokyo, Japan with her husband and taught high school at Nichimachi International School. While living in Asia, she continued to tutor privately in both Japan and Hong Kong. She relocated to Collierville, TN in 1994. Her experience includes: University of Memphis, College of Education, as an instructor of Math Methods, clinical supervision of graduate and undergraduate students as a college supervisor for the Univ. of Memphis Office of Teacher Education. She was employed by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, Germantown, TN for 10 years. There she developed and implemented a remedial/gifted program (EXCEL), taught 6-7-8 grade Social Studies, instructed a Spanish language program, and created/implemented an enrichment/gifted inclusion program. Mrs. Grover joined Concord Academy in the fall of 2012. While at Concord, she has taught high school US History, Integrated Math, 9-12 Transition, Computer, and Personal Finance and is a senior class sponsor. This year Diane’s new role at Concord Academy will be as Curriculum Director for grades 6-12 and she will continue teaching several high school classes.
